Co-injection is a polymer injection technology in which different polymers are injected into the same mold in various ways to form a preform or container with a laminated structure. The resulting three-layer structure has a polymer, usually with certain desired functions such as barrier property, embedded in-between two layers of normal polymer. This technology delivers benefits including extension in product durability and shelf life, and new possibilities in color effects. It can be widely applied in food, beverage, cosmetic, household and pharmaceutical industries.
